In which Mattie links a binary teaching exercise

Using the Socratic method, it seems that you can teach third-graders to do binary arithmetic. Very neat.

    and I have to admit I was pretty impressed. Are third-graders really that smart? Surely he just made the whole thing up.

    But I want to believe, so...
